ALAMO – Mrs. Dorothy Williams, 59, a resident of Alamo for the last 30 years, died Thursday night in her home here. She had been ill several months. She was a member of Alamo Christian Church and its Ladies Aid, Eastern Star, Alamo Home Extension Club and Wallace Cabalistic Club. Mrs. Williams was born in Marion County on Nov. 24, 1916, a daughter of Henry and Emily Reece Walker. She married Glenn Williams on Oct. 23, 1937. Surviving are her husband; a son, Glenn “Todd” Williams of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Sharon) Bayless of Alamo and Mrs. Richard (Glenda) Milton of Houston, Tex.; her mother of Washington; three brothers, Warren Walker of Indianapolis, Charles Walker of Columbus, Ohio, and Harvey Walker of South Carolina; two sisters, Florence Harvey and Gertrude McCollum of Indianapolis; and 10 grandchildren. Services well be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with the Rev. Noble Carothers officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Eastern Star services will be at 8 p.m. Sunday. – jlr
